Big Walk Walkthrough — Keys in Order

Big Walk official screenshot

Quick answer: the Big Walk main story is a fixed chain of five Tower Keys that open the world in order — Red Bridge (Map Room) → Green Tower (Lift Station) → Blue Tower (Train Station) → Yellow Tower (Tunnels) → Black Tower (Black Sphere) — after which the hand-crafted finale plays out. This page is spoiler-staged: read the hint, stop when you want, reveal more only if you're still stuck. verified order above is confirmed by multiple independent full play-through videos.

official Steam lists the game as a cooperative adventure "meant to be played start-to-finish" — the key-chain route below is verified from full-run footage, not from an official map.

Stage 1 · The Red Bridge Key

Hint: the first key is not hidden — it sits on the route the game pushes you toward at the very start. Follow the bridge everyone is talking about.
Stronger: cross the red drawbridge and take the key from its obvious spot, then use it at the Map Room gate. This unlocks the game's first milestone, official achievement Big Walk — Cross the drawbridge.

Stage 2 · The Map Room

Hint: the Red Bridge Key opens somewhere that shows you the whole world. That is its entire job.
Stronger: the Map Room is the first real destination and gives your group orientation (official achievement Big View — Visit the map). After this, head toward the next tower landmark you can see.

Stage 3 · Green Tower Key — the Lift Station

Hint: a lift that goes up — the second key lets you ride it.
Stronger: the Green Tower Key unlocks the chairlift ("Big Sit — Ride the chairlift"). The chairlift carries you to the upper parts of the world that are otherwise unreachable.

Stage 4 · Blue Tower Key — the Train Station

Hint: the third key is about speed across the map's long middle.
Stronger: the Blue Tower Key opens the train ("Big Ride — Ride the train"), the fastest way across the world — and the tunnels later reuse the same tracks.

Stage 5 · Yellow Tower Key — the Tunnels

Hint: the fourth leg is dark, loud and echo-heavy. Bring your walkie-talkies.
Stronger: the Yellow Tower Key opens the Tunnels (Big Tunnel — Enter a big tunnel). Radio discipline matters here more than anywhere else in the run.

Stage 6 · Black Tower Key — the Black Sphere

Hint: the last Tower Key is not in a building you walk into — it is at the odd black structure on the horizon.
Stronger: the Black Tower Key comes from the puzzle hub at the Black Sphere, the fifth and final key gate. After it, the track points toward the ending.

The Ending

The finale is hand-crafted and co-op: official "an ending" that plays out start-to-finish with your group. The ending achievement is named Big Goodbye official (no description published — it is hidden until earned). Group running order, transport, and what happens after the credits are covered on Endings and the Big Game page.

How long is a run?

There is no official playtime. Community play-throughs range widely because the game is a walk at your own pace: community most full runs fall somewhere between a long evening and a few relaxed sessions, with a lot of time spent sitting and watching sunsets.
